Art For Change 2025 aims to raise awareness for Women’s month
Art For change (AFC), a youth-created event that aims to blend the lines between art and activism, is now going on its fourth-year providing young artists with a platform to perform and activists a place to speak, while also raising money towards a good cause.
Amber Fink, an 18 year old first-year Psychology student, is the founder and head organizer of this non-profit event.
“I organized the first one when I was 15 years old and it was such an eye-opening experience,” said Fink. “I had this vision of just live music for charity with young activists and a space to connect and share art.”
Given the current state of the world, the arts and activism are two crucial elements that have become more essential than ever in inspiring meaningful change.

Skylar Yu, an 18 year old third year crew member shares why she believes the event is so important:
“I think Art For Change gives a chance for local young people to start putting themselves into the art and activism world. Not a lot of people know about events like this, so having young people organize them allows for it to be widely spread demographically”
For the past three years, the AFC organizers and crew members believe the event has and hopes to continue to make an impact in the community. The lively music, good vibes, talented speakers all in an effort to support the community.
Their success has been so outstanding they’ve been able to raise close to $3000 in donations to organizations like Stargivers Initiative and InspirED the past three years.

This year in the month of March, Amber is inspired to make the events theme all about raising awareness for Women’s month.
“My dream is an all women’s event and a night of celebration and charity,” said Fink.
“For this upcoming event, my goals are to break our last fundraising records while ensuring all donations go to My Aunt’s Place, which is a women’s shelter in Regina as well as just getting more people showing up, getting more performers, more organizations involved and make it a unique event to Regina.”

Fink and the AFC crew intend on connecting with the “U of R women’s centre”, a non-profit corporation, as a potential collaborator as well as they would love to uplift Planned Parenthood as a speaker and recruit “My Aunt’s Place” as the supporting charity With all this in the works, the team is currently working hard on planning an evening to remember.
With this event in particular, the AFC crew envision a night of recognizing and celebrating females in the community and educating the public on the surrounding social issues.
“It is such a beautiful thing seeing all kinds of people come together in support for a cause and that fact that I’m able to do something that I love and can also fundraise for things I’m passionate about,” said Amber.
On March 14th doors open at 8p.m. at Stone’s Throw you will be able to catch speakers and performers share their inspiring art and be apart of making a difference while empowering women youth to take action in the community.
